MVP
An MVP in euros for SMEs that operate in COP
A Colombian SME charges in pesos, pays rent in pesos and can still read a proposal in euros without translating it into an invented figure. At Krats.tech the public list is in EUR on purpose: the same number works in Medellín, in another city in the country and for a client in Europe. This guide explains how to read the €500 MVP if your operation is in COP. It does not multiply by an exchange rate, it does not publish an equivalent for the day and it does not present that equivalent as a price. The reference price is the one on the list. The payment method is a different matter.
What the €500 MVP is, and what it is not
The MVP is a main flow you can use. It is not a slide deck, not a screen map in a document, and not the complete system with roles, reports and integrations. In a short, bounded piece of work we build the part that reduces the doubt most: creating an order, the form that actually arrives, or the smallest product movement. It costs €500. If the project continues, those €500 are deducted from the next scope. If it does not continue, you keep that flow, not an empty diagnosis invoice. It is not a web application: that reference starts at €4,500 when there are users and data. It is not a landing: that is €1,500. It is not a multi-page site: that is €2,500.
Why the list is not in COP
A list in pesos would have to be rewritten every time the exchange rate moves, and the software scope would not have changed. Publishing both currencies as if they were two prices invites a debate about the day instead of the work. That is why you will not find a COP value for the MVP here, nor an EUR to COP table, nor a bureau's rate. If your accounting needs pesos for an entry, that calculation is yours, with the rate your bank uses on the payment date. It is not a second offer from the studio. Saying otherwise would be inventing a price.
The four references, always in euros, are written on the pricing page: €500 for the MVP, €1,500 for the landing, €2,500 for the corporate site and from €4,500 for the web application.
How you pay from Colombia
Payment can be made by Mercado Pago, bank transfer, PayPal, Wise or USDT. Mercado Pago is a useful method when the account is in Colombia: it moves the money, it does not redefine the scope or create a parallel peso rate published by us. The proposal and the milestones stay expressed in euros. Milestones usually sit near 40, 30 and 30 percent. On an MVP the amount is a single one, €500, because the cut is small. On an application from €4,500 the milestones do split the work so we do not ask for one hundred percent before a screen exists. Any fee from the payment method is defined by that method, not by this page.
What to look at in the proposal, besides the number
The number in euros only makes sense next to the paragraph that says what you will be able to press. If the proposal says MVP and the screen list already includes inventory, deliveries and reports, that is not the €500 cut. Ask for the first milestone to fit in one flow. Also check that the domain and the hosting stay in the company's name, and that the code passes to your name when the payments are complete. There are thirty days to fix defects in what was delivered. Support at €150 a month exists, it is optional and it has no lock-in: it is not part of the MVP unless you ask for it afterwards.
The same criterion, written for a business in the city, is in the Medellín hub. Attention can be local or remote. The currency of the list does not change because of that.
How to fit the MVP into a peso budget
Fitting it in is not translating €500 into a COP figure of ours. It is deciding whether that flow fits what the company can set aside this month, using the euro as a stable reference and the payment method to execute it. If the flow fits, you commission the MVP and see whether the team uses it. If it does not fit, you wait: you do not silently cut the flow until it becomes a mock-up. If the budget reaches further, you still do not skip the cut. A €1,500 landing or an application from €4,500 is chosen because the problem is different, not because we are paying in pesos so we should ask for everything. Splitting the work protects cash better than a single project whose weight in the accounts nobody can explain halfway through.
Mistakes that make the reading more expensive
The first is asking for a peso price closed for the whole year without fixing the scope: that is not a currency, it is a system without an edge. The second is comparing the €500 MVP with another tool's monthly fee and declaring a winner. They are different units, and this page does not carry the other fee. The third is adding support, hosting and taxes that were not written down and treating that sum as if we had published it. The fourth is believing that a cheap MVP in conversation includes Android, six languages and invoicing. If that is needed, it is written as a new scope, with its own reference, not as small print on the €500 cut.
To commission the flow, without converting the list into pesos in the message, use the contact form. Describe the process in one sentence and say that you operate in COP: the proposal will still be in euros.
What to have decided before you write
Choose a single flow. Choose who will use it in the first week. Leave out, in writing, what is not in this cut: the street app, the languages, the printer, the management report. Have the company email ready and, if it exists, the domain in its name. With that the €500 MVP can be accepted or adjusted before you pay. If a second flow appears in the conversation, it is noted for later and it does not slip into the €500. That way an SME that thinks in pesos hires against a list in euros without pretending the studio published a price in COP.
Short questions
Can you quote the MVP directly in pesos?
The published reference is €500. We do not keep a second list in COP. Payment can still start from Colombia through the methods listed.
Does Mercado Pago change the price?
No. It is a payment method. Fees of that method, if any, are defined by that service. The MVP scope stays at €500.
Are the €500 lost if I later ask for the application?
No. They are deducted if the project continues. The web application, with users and data, starts at €4,500.
